Hot on the heals of Frontier: Elite 2 was the third of the Elite series; Frontier: First Encounters. Potentially it should have been the crowning glory of the series but alas David Braben was forced to release it months before it was completed so there were many bugs.
The music in FFE is certainly one of the highlights of the game. With nine commisioned tracks by The Quality Quartet and all the FE2 tracks this game really does have some truely wonderful music.

Added various Resets. e.g. AllNotesOff, Sustain, Modulation, etc. Also added a Reverb effect to the Frontier:Elite songs (bluedan, barem, etc). Certain controllers would be left on [sustain] when a previous track was stopped part way through [as happens most of the time]. |
